Photoclub 3. 28th March 2009
Look, this is going to be a special one. We meet up at Loughton at 11:00 am. You can bike or catch the central line.
The plan is to walk through the forest snapping away following the theme (which will be handed out on site) and having lunch at the Robin Hood pub.
Unfortunately weather seems against us... so ring me if you think you are interested because we leave shortly after 11, so if you are late its catch up, and secondly its going to be short notice if we have to postpone or change venues...

Photoclub 2. Feb 28th 2009 The shots:
A great turn out, possibly due to the later start... found about 15 people at the start of this months photoclub. It was slightly embarrasing to ask strangers if they were part of photoclub, which no one was... but I think I shall engineer a sign of something next time. A little better than this one!

Still waiting on some photos, but we have quite a selection so here goes,
Allen.

Kat.

Liz.

Mick.

Annabel

When I arrived I saw two photographers stopped and had their details taken by quite polite police, but I did not get any hassle until trying to set the tripod up for this shot, apparently tripods require one to sign in down stairs.

Leading Lines- A definition
Leading lines are to point towards an interesting subject. They lead the eye from one part of the picture to another: from the foreground to the background, the secondary subject to the main subject. Diagonals and arcs or other unclosed curves are good examples of leading lines.

Photoclub 2. Feb 28th 2009
Theme "Leading Lines"
Location: "Kings Cross St Pancras- next to the kissing statue."
Time: 15:00
Date: 28/02/09
The idea of this months theme is to force us to consider using lines in our composition. Lines that lead the viewers eyes into the photo, manipulating the audience to look further into the scene. Shooting in the wonderfully laid out St Pancras international station, we will find lines a plenty- and not just at the longest champagne bar in Europe!
Of course with the current climate of photography in privately owned places, if we get kicked out of Kings Cross, we will walk down the canals to Camden and have a cheeky half at a pub!
let me know if you want to come along! mturoa@gmail.com or 07834768098

Photoclub 1. Jan 31 2009
Location: Borough Market
Theme: Food

Bright and Early is the best way to describe the first meeting of Photoclub. You really couldnt ask for a better winters day. The long shadows and the blue skies helped inspire all the keen participants that braved the cold wind and early morning alarm clocks...

First Official Photoclub!
Hi!
Its January 2009, the shadows are long and the days are short. But no matter how short each day brings us new opportunities to photograph, and thats basically the mission of photoclub.
On the last weekend of each month, photoclub will meet at a location in and around London with a theme in mind that we will be training our cameras on. If you have a camera, then you are invited! It can be a point and shoot, a pin hole camera, with film or the latest release of DSLR, as long as you want to take photos you are welcome.
The location and theme, along with two photos from each participant from the previous meeting will be published on this blog- but you would of course keep all rights.
Our First assignment will be on the 31st of January.
I will be there from 08:50-09:10 freezing and waiting for you. If you would like to contact me on 07834768098 to let me know that you are coming I will wait for you, but if not we will begin at exactly 09:15.
Photoclub is ON.
