Leading Lines- A definition

Leading lines are to point towards an interesting subject. They lead the eye from one part of the picture to another: from the foreground to the background, the secondary subject to the main subject. Diagonals and arcs or other unclosed curves are good examples of leading lines.

Photoclub 2. Feb 28th 2009

Theme "Leading Lines"
Location: "Kings Cross St Pancras- next to the kissing statue."
Time: 15:00
Date: 28/02/09
The idea of this months theme is to force us to consider using lines in our composition. Lines that lead the viewers eyes into the photo, manipulating the audience to look further into the scene. Shooting in the wonderfully laid out St Pancras international station, we will find lines a plenty- and not just at the longest champagne bar in Europe!
Of course with the current climate of photography in privately owned places, if we get kicked out of Kings Cross, we will walk down the canals to Camden and have a cheeky half at a pub!

Location: Borough Market
Theme: Food
